This upright-rounded blackhaw was selected by Willoway Nursery in Ohio for its attractive red new growth that move through a pink phase finally maturing to a leathery, glossy green. The foliage finishes the year in a magnificent display of red and yellow.
The creamy-white flowers appear in late spring (Midwest US). ‘Summer Magic’ is more compact than the species, which is native to eastern and central North America.
