Lagerstroemia BARISTA® 'Sweet Macchiato'

The BARISTA® Collection of Crapemyrtle are hybridized to perform well in the West Michigan climate. They are small and bloom on new wood. In areas where they won’t die back in the winter, the height may be taller.

‘Sweet Macchiato’ is upright, branched and bushy selection boasts very dark looking foliage. The leaves are dark blue-green, with the glossy deep red new growth making the tips look like they are on fire. In late summer, glossy red buds burst open to sweet, hot pink flower clusters with mustard yellow stamens. Green seed pods follow the flowering performance. (Courtesy of Walters Gardens)
